I originally had a website under the domain modernground.net. I owned that domain for quite some time and I had a lot of content to give my visitors. Unfortunately, my host ended up shutting down and I no longer had a host or domain considering they had registered the domain for me.
Eventually, I got tired of not owning a website so I chose to register my own domain. I chose droptheworld.us because it came from Lil Wayne’s song “Drop The World” featuring Eminem. It just had a good ring to it. I chose .us because it just looked good and I barely see anyone with that domain extension.
The website had originally opened on June 14, 2010. But again I found issues, so it was closed for a very long time. I decided to reopen the website on March 16th, 2011. And that’s how this site came to be.
