So I Found A Job
April 24th, 2011

So some of you are probably wondering where I’ve disappeared to. Well… to answer that question, I got a job. It’s not the ideal job I wanted but it’s better than not having one I suppose. The problem with this job is that my body is sore right after my shifts. See, because I’m out of school I was looking for a full-time position at a store or a restaurant but in my town it’s been really hard since no one is hiring. I literally applied to almost every store haha, and still no luck. Because of this misfortune, I chose to apply at a warehouse. If worst came to worst, I would have no choice but to work there. And it did. Now don’t get me wrong, pay is good and I get TONS of hours. And when I mean tons, I literally mean it. Just my first week I ranked in nearly 60 hours. But the work is pretty hard, it’s all lifting and pushing and constant movement and standing for nearly ten hours a day doing the same thing. My legs and arms and back became totally sore and in pain. And starting Monday I’ll be working midnights which doesn’t sound pleasant. My life has been taken over by work. I never find the time to really just hang out or anything. Luckily I get every Sunday off which is good. So that’s what I’ve been doing!

This Friday, was a holiday so they let us out of work early and I got the time to have a Scream marathon with my brother and my friend in celebration of Scream’s newest fourth movie. I don’t see how a lot of the reviews for the movie were terrible since I thought the movie was really good and had a shocking twist at the end. The movie has a great cast with familiar faces that I’m sure was all recognize like Emma Roberts, Hayden Panettiere, Adam Brody, Lucy Hale, Shenae Grimes, Anna Paquin, Anthony Anderson, Kristen Bell and I’m sure we all know the original faces of Scream like Neve Campbell, Courtney Cox and David Arquette. Although this movie had more mystery and comedy than it did horror or suspense, it was still really good. During the movie, I kept thinking in my head “That’s the killer I know it!” but they kept dying so in the end I didn’t really know anymore. I think if you’re a Scream fan then you should definitely go watch it.

And by the way, happy Easter everyone! Hope you all enjoy it today and eat lots of chocolate eggs!

Atleast youre getting a workout from the job, I’m sure you’ll be more built after a couple of weeks. Do you plan on working there for a long time or is it like a job for the summer?

WOOHOO for free living until your 16, haha. :} I’ve seen some of the Scream films, but I really want to see the fourth, although… I’m not old enough to see it in the cinemas. :/ I will find a way though :D

Congratulations on the job! I guess it’s better then nothing; it earns you some cash, at least. Plus, after some time, I’m sure you’ll get used to the hard work. I hope you’re less sore soon though!

I’m never seen any Scream films; maybe I should try some.

Yeah, my microphone is crap. I did the same thing, if it’s any comfort; turned up the volume full blast to listen to it and then played some music… and died.

My Chemical Romance are my favourite band, ehe :3

I didn’t edit my vlog because Vicky told me not to bother aha. xD And yes, I prefer writing; it’s easier to include everything you want to say.

    Take care! xx

ahh i know how you feel about the job thing… i had a job at a little kids pizza play room once, it was terrible.. we had to fix machines and carry heavy stuff and run around small children all day. I finally decided to quit when my grades dropped to c’s… now im trying to apply for a summer job at a clothing store.. im crossing my fingers hoping that I’ll get this job!. lol

  10. Emma Louiise Says:

Even though the job is tough, I’m glad you got it. Your muscles won’t ache as much eventually. That’s how I always feel when I start preparing for fitness testing. It definitely doesn’t take as much strength as your job, but for someone like me, running a mile a day and doing fifty push-ups takes its toll. But by the time testing actually comes around, I no longer get sore.

I haven’t seen Scream 4…or any of the Scream movies. I’m not a horror fan. Too easily scared. >.<
